अयुक्तः प्राकृतः स्तब्धः.

Long Lasting Wars. 

अध्याय १८,

अयुक्तः प्राकृतः स्तब्धः शठो नैष्कृतिकः अलसो।।

विषादी दीर्घसूत्री च कर्ता तामस उच्यते।।२८।।

The sense / idea of "doer-ship" / thinking that I am independently the one who performs an action is the assumption because of that  such a man is called kind of tAmasaH / तामसः.

In simple words, such a man is caught in the thought, assumes and identifies oneself the whole, sole and the only cause of achieving the desired goal.

This makes one अयुक्तः / unfit for the Yoga, प्राकृतः / instrumental, स्तब्धः / stupefied, शठः / stubborn, नैष्कृतिकः / indolent, अलसः / idle, विषादी / sad,  दीर्घसूत्री /  with the tendency of  postponement / procrastination.

The present situation of war between Islam and Jew in the West Asia or the Middle East, is typical example of this verse.

It's really funny that each one of the three Abrahmic Religions have been engaged in this war aimed at annihilating "the other".

The unending war where only something on the part of the Unknown, Unidentified and Invisible Cause ordaining and controlling it may possibly end.

Only the time will tell if it is the ultimate, the final end for the whole human civilization.

If and Who-So-Ever might be The Lord of your choice, Pray to Him!

And if you don't believe in the existence of any such a Lord / Savior, be prepared to meet the extinction of the mankind from the earth. For, who knows if somewhere in the universe, there is another earth to be lived at!
