यदा ते मोहकलिलं...

The Compound, The Composite,

and The Conflict.

--

इच्छाद्वेषसमुत्थेन द्वन्द्वमोहेन भारत।।

सर्वभूतानि सम्मोहं सर्गे यान्ति परन्तप।।२७।।

(अध्याय ७, Chapter7)

यदा ते मोहकलिलं बुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति।।

तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च।।५२।।

(अध्याय २, Chapter 2)

All and every man is born bemused and driven by desire and delusion.

Deluded in thought one keeps trying to find a way to come out of the conflict.

Language is the instrument created by thought and the thought in its turn the language.

Language and / or Thought operate in the light of awareness. Awareness is the mind. All sentient beings are endowed with consciousness of being and being in a world perceived in consciousness.

So the individual consciousness refers to the existence of a world andthe one,  the individual who finds a world and though a part of the same, at the same time feels, it is somehow different and other from the world where one might have born and eventually may die some day.

But it hardly occurs to anyone, how one could one be one with or other than the world.

Howsoever desparatedly or frenetically one may try to resolve this conflict, one just fails. All the clues worth-hearing or heard so far give no hope nor help any as long as the conflict persists.

The ceaseless perpetual conflict is there as long as the delusion: that is the pair of desire and aversion is not overcome. Transcending the two implies the dawn of The Wisdom.

Then the question remains :

Exactly "Who" could be said to have transcended the delusion and therefore the conflict too?

A clue to the answer could be found in the following verses :

न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि

लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः।।

न कर्मफलसंयोगं

स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते।।१४।।

नादत्ते कस्यचित्पापं

न चैव सुकृतं विभुः।।

अज्ञानेनावृतं ज्ञानं

तेन मुह्यन्ति जन्तवः।।१५।।

ज्ञानेन तदज्ञानं

येषां नाशितमात्मनः।।

तेषामादित्यवज्ज्ञानं

प्रकाशयति तत् परम्।।१६।।

(अध्याय ५, Chapter 5)

The individual-consciousness and the Awareness of the Self are but the two aspects of the one and the same Reality.

One of them is denoted by the word  विभु  synonymous of the individual.

The other is denoted by the word प्रभु : synonymous of The God.

Who-so-ever has realized the unique and undifferentiated, essential one-ness of the two is A JnAnI / ज्ञानी, Devotee / भक्त, and a Yogi योगी.
