--
’संप्रवृत्तानि’ / ’saṃpravṛttāni’ - having involved in,
Chapter 14, shloka 22,
prakāśaṃ ca pravṛttiṃ ca
mohameva ca pāṇḍava |
na dveṣṭi sampravṛttāni
na nivṛttāni kāṅkṣati ||
--
(prakāśam ca pravṛttim ca
moham eva ca pāṇḍava |
na dveṣṭi sampravṛttāni
na nivṛttāni kāṅkṣati ||)
--
When his mind according to and under the influence of sattva ( prakāśam, - Light, clarity, peace,), rajas ( pravṛttim, -activity, restlessness), and tamas (moham, - indolence, sloth, ) respectively becomes calm and clear, gets engaged in activity, or lost in idleness, once the mode is over, a man of discrimination of right and wrong should neither wish their repetition, nor condemn these modes of mind, once the mode is over.
--
(This is because all things happen to body and mind according to destiny. One's attitude towards destiny should be of detachment with their actions.)
