’योगयज्ञाः’ / ’yogayajñāḥ’

’योगयज्ञाः’ / ’yogayajñāḥ’ - योग के अभ्यास रूपी यज्ञ,
अध्याय 4, श्लोक 28,
द्रव्ययज्ञास्तपोयज्ञा योगयज्ञास्तथापरे ।
स्वाध्यायज्ञानयज्ञाश्च यतयः संशितव्रताः ॥

(द्रव्ययज्ञाः तपोयज्ञाः योगयज्ञाः तथा अपरे ।
स्वाध्यायज्ञानयज्ञाः च यतयः संशितव्रताः ॥)

भावार्थ :
कुछ लोग द्रव्य से संबंधित यज्ञ करते हैं, कुछ योगरूपी यज्ञ, अन्य कुछ स्वाध्याय तथा ज्ञान रूपी यज्ञ का अनुष्ठान करते हैं, जबकि कुछ तीक्ष्ण और कठिन व्रतों वाले यज्ञ करते हैं।

’योगयज्ञाः’ / ’yogayajñāḥ’ - the path of yoga,
Chapter 4, śloka 28,
dravyayajñāstapoyajñā
yogayajñāstathāpare |
svādhyāyajñānayajñāśca
yatayaḥ saṃśitavratāḥ ||

(dravyayajñāḥ tapoyajñāḥ
yogayajñāḥ tathā apare |
svādhyāyajñānayajñāḥ ca
yatayaḥ saṃśitavratāḥ ||)

Meaning :
Some perform sacrifice by means of offering the materials (dravyayajña), either in sacrificial Fires or donating the same to the needy and eligible recipients, Some observe austerities (tapoyajña), others follow the path of yoga (yogayajña), while aspirants (yatayaḥ) / seekers of Reality perform meditating upon 'brahman', studying scriptures (svādhyāyajña), and still others do hard kinds of penance (saṃśitavratāḥ) and rituals.
