आज का श्लोक - ’सुखदुःखानां’ / ’sukhaduHkhAnAM’

’सुखदुःखानां’ / ’sukhaduHkhAnAM’ - सुखों और दुःखों का,
अध्याय 13, श्लोक 20,
कार्यकरणकर्तृत्वे हेतुः प्रकृतिरुच्यते ।
पुरुषः सुखदुःखानां भोक्तृत्वे हेतुरुच्यते ॥

(कार्य-करण-कर्तृत्वे हेतुः प्रकृतिः उच्यते ।
पुरुषः सुखदुःखानां भोक्तृत्वे हेतुः उच्यते ॥)

भावार्थ :
कार्य (घटना / फल), करण (माध्यम, साधन, सहायक यंत्र) का आधार / अधिष्ठान प्रकृति को कहा गया है,
जबकि पुरुष को सुख एवं दुःख आदि के भोग का अधिष्ठान कहा गया है ।

hetuH prakRtiruchyate |
puruShaH sukhaduHkhAnAM

Meaning :
karya > Cause and Effect, karaNa > instrument, hetuH > motivation and purpose., basis and goal. objective and object, prakRtiruchyate > prakrutiH + uchyate > The manifestation is said to be.
puruShaH > The self / Self, soul, sukha-duHkhAnAM bhoktRtve > of experiencing the pleasures and pains.

'prakRti' ( The power of manifestation) is said to be responsible for cause and effect and also for the notion of 'doer-ship'. And 'puruSha' (consciousness) is the only support that makes the experiences of pleasure and pain, possible for oneself,
