आज का श्लोक,  'स्वस्थः'/'swasthaH'

अध्याय 14, श्लोक 24,
*
समदुःखसुखः स्वस्थः समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः ।
तुल्यप्रियाप्रियो धीरस्तुल्यनिन्दात्मसंस्तुतिः ॥

(समदुःखसुखः स्वस्थः सम-लोष्ट-अश्म-काञ्चनः ।
 तुल्य-प्रिय-अप्रियः धीरः तुल्य-निंदा-आत्म-संस्तुतिः ॥)

'स्वस्थः'/'swasthaH' - आत्मभाव में नित्यस्थित
भावार्थ :
जो सुख एवं दुःख को समान दृष्टि  देखता हो, निरंतर और सदा आत्मभाव में अवस्थित रहता है, मिट्टी के ढेले, पत्थर व स्वर्ण जिसके लिए एक समान हैं, प्रिय और अप्रिय को एक ही भाँति ग्रहण करता हो, धैर्यशील तथा अपनी प्रशंसा निंदा आदि को तुल्यभाव से देखता हो ।

'स्वस्थः'/ 'swasthaH' - having well-settled in the 'Self' / 'Atman'.

samaduHkhasukhaH swasthaH
samaloShTAshmakAnchanaH |
tulyapriyApriyo dhIras-
tulyanindAtmasanstutiH ||

Meaning :
One who accepts the pains and pleasure with the same attitude, who is well-settled in the 'Self', who views a lump of clay, a stone or gold in the same manner, who treats the pleasant and unpleasant, and the praise and the condemnation also in the same indifferent manner.
