आज का श्लोक,  ’सौभद्रः’/ 'saubhadraH'

’सौभद्रः’/ 'saubhadraH' - सुभद्रा और अर्जुन का पुत्र अभिमन्यु,

अध्याय  1, श्लोक 6,

युधामन्युश्च विक्रान्त उत्तमौजाश्च वीर्यवान् ।
सौभद्रो द्रौपदेयाश्च सर्व एव महारथाः ॥

(युधामन्युः च विक्रान्तः उत्तमौजाः च वीर्यवान् ।
सौभद्रः द्रौपदेयाः च  सर्वे एव महारथाः ॥)

भावार्थ :
युधामन्यु तथा बलवान् उत्तमौजा, सुभद्रापुत्र अभिमन्यु एवं द्रौपदी के पाँचों पुत्र, ये सभी महारथी ।

अध्याय 1, श्लोक 18,
द्रुपदो द्रौपदेयाश्च सर्वशः पृथिवीपते ।
सौभद्रश्च महाबाहुः शङ्खान्दध्मुः पृथक्पृथक् ॥
--
(द्रुपदः द्रौपदेयाः च सर्वशः पृथिवीपते ।
सौभद्रः च महाबाहुःशङ्खान् दध्मुः पृथक् पृथक् ॥)

भावार्थ :
हे राजन् (धृतराष्ट्र) ! राजा द्रुपद (द्रौपदी के पिता)  तथा बलशाली भुजाओं वाले सुभद्रापुत्र अभिमन्यु सहित द्रौपदी के पाँचों पुत्रों ने भी युद्धक्षेत्र में सब ओर से अलग अलग शंखों का घोष किया ।

Chapter 1, shloka 6,
yudhAmanyushcha vikrAnta
uttamaujAshcha vIryavAn |
saubhadro draupadeyAshcha
sarva eva mahArathAH ||

Meaning :
There were warriors like mighty yudhAmanyu , powerful uttamaujA,  saubhadreya -abhimanyu, and the 5 sons of draupadI, all with magnificient chariots.

Chapter 1, shloka 18,

drupado draupadeyAshcha
sarvashaH pRthivIpate |
saubhadrashcha mahAbAhuH
shankhAn-dadhmuH pRthakpRthak ||
--
Meaning :
(sanjaya narrating to the King dhRtarAShTra, -the running commentary of what he saw at battlefield)
drupada and the sons of draupadI, also the mighty-armed son of subhadrA (abhimanyu), all blew their respective conchs. O King (dhRtarAShTra)!
