आज का श्लोक, ’सृष्ट्वा’ / 'sRShTwA'

’सृष्ट्वा’ / 'sRShTwA' - सृजन करने के बाद,

अध्याय 3, श्लोक 10,

सहयज्ञाः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा पुरोवाच प्रजापतिः ।
अनेन प्रसविष्यध्वमेष वोऽस्त्विष्टकामधुक् ॥

(सहयज्ञाः प्रजाः सृष्ट्वा पुरा उवाच प्रजापतिः ।
अनेन प्रसविष्यध्वम् एषः वः अस्तु इष्टकामधुक् ॥)

भावार्थ :
प्रजापति ब्रह्मा ने कल्प के आदिकाल में यज्ञसहित प्रजाओं को रचकर उनसे कहा कि तुमलोग इस यज्ञ के द्वारा समृद्धि और विकास को प्राप्त होओ, यह यज्ञ तुम लोगों को तुम्हारे इच्छित भोगों को प्रदान करनेवाला होगा ।

sahayajnAH prajAH sRShTwA
purovAcha prajApatiH |
anena prasaviShyadhvaM-
eSha vo'stviShTakAmadhuk ||
Meaning :
In the ancient times, when through performing the sacrifices He created the generations, The Lord of the creatures (brahmA) said to them;
"Through this sacrifice, May you prosper and beget your off-springs, and fulfill your heart-felt desires and wishes."
