आज का श्लोक, ’सुखे’ / 'sukhe'

’सुखे’ / 'sukhe'  - सुख में,

अध्याय 14, श्लोक 9,
सत्त्वं सुखे सञ्जयति रजः कर्मणि भारत ।
ज्ञानमावृत्त्य तु तमः प्रमादे सञ्जयत्युत ॥
(सत्त्वम् सुखे सञ्जयति रजः कर्मणि भारत ।
ज्ञानमावृत्य तु तमः प्रमादे सञ्जयति उत ॥)

भावार्थ :
(आत्मा के स्वाभाविक स्वरूप को आवृत्त कर) सत्त्वगुण तो चित्त को सुख में प्रवृत्त करता है, रजोगुण कर्म में प्रवृत्त करता है, तथा हे भारत (अर्जुन)! तमोगुण ज्ञान को ढककर चित्त को प्रमाद में प्रवृत्त करता है ।
टिप्पणी :
इस प्रकार तीनों गुण आत्मा के स्वरूप को आवरित रखते हैं ।

Chapter 14, shloka 9,

sattvaM sukhe sanjayati
rajaH karmaNi bhArata |
jnAnamAvRttya tu tamaH
pramAde sanjayatyuta ||

bhArata (arjuna)! Driven by the attribute of harmony (sattaM), the mind (chittaM) gets identified with joy and peace, driven by the attribute of passion (rajas / rajaH), the mind gets identified with  action, and driven by the attribute of inertia (tamas) the mind gets identified with sloth, idleness.
