--
’विपरीतान्’ / ’viparītān’ - the opposite, contrary to what they stand for in reality.
Chapter 18, śloka 32,
adharmaṃ dharmamiti
yā manyate tamasāvṛtā |
sarvārthānviparītāṃśca
buddhiḥ sā pārtha tāmasī ||
--
(adharmam dharmam iti
yā manyate tamasā āvṛtā |
sarvārthān viparītān ca
buddhiḥ sā pārtha tāmasī ||)
--
Meaning :
O pārtha, (O arjuna!), blinded by delusion, the intellect that accepts what is truly adharma, as dharma, and like-wise all the true meanings in a distorted and opposite way, is of the tāmasī kind.
--
Note :
Though elsewhere I have tried to deal with what is 'adharma', and what is 'dharma', let us see again that 'adharma' is, what is against the natural law of justice, and dharma, -what seeks and follows the natural law of justice, with our best possible (based upon and supported by) reasoning and the understanding that follows there-upon.)
