आज का श्लोक,

अध्याय 2, श्लोक 13,

देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा ।
तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति ॥

(देहिनः अस्मिन् यथा देहे कौमारम् यौवनम् जरा ।
तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिः धीरः तत्र न मुह्यति ॥)

भावार्थ :
जैसे इस देह में देहधारी चेतना (जीव) को बाल्यकाल, युवावस्था तथा वृद्धावस्था प्राप्त होती है, वैसे ही उसे इस देह के (नष्ट हो जाने के) बाद अन्य देह की प्राप्ति होती है । (इसे जानकर) इस विषय में धीर मनुष्य उद्विग्न / व्याकुल नहीं होता ।

dehino:'sminyathā dehe
kaumāraṃ yauvanaṃ jarā |
tathā dehāntaraprāptir0
dhīrastatra na muhyati ||

(dehinaḥ asmin yathā dehe
kaumāram yauvanam jarā |
tathā dehāntaraprāptiḥ
dhīraḥ tatra na muhyati ||)

Meaning :
Just as the consciousness associated with this body goes through the stages of child-hood, youth and old-age, quite so, after decay of this body, acquires a new one after death. Knowing this truth, the one who understands this truth is never disturbed.
