आज का श्लोक,
’रागात्मकम्’ / ’rāgātmakam’

’रागात्मकम्’ / ’rāgātmakam’ - राग से युक्त, लिप्त करनेवाला,

अध्याय 14, श्लोक 7,

रजो रागात्मकं विद्धि तृष्णासङ्गसमुद्भवम् ।
तन्निबध्नाति कौन्तेय कर्मसङ्गेन देहिनम् ॥

(रजः रागात्मकम् विद्धि तृष्णासङ्गसमुद्भवम् ।
तत् निबध्नाति कौन्तेय कर्मसङ्गेन देहिनम् ॥)

भावार्थ :
हे कौन्तेय (अर्जुन)! रागके स्वरूपवाले  रजोगुण को कामना (लालसा) तथा आसक्ति (लिप्तता) से उत्पन्न हुआ जानो, जो (रजोगुण) देह के स्वामी (जीव) को कर्म तथा उसके फल की आशा से बाँधता है ।

’रागात्मकम्’ / ’rāgātmakam’ - that which binds to, of the kind of indulgence, causing involvement,

Chapter 14, śloka 7,

rajo rāgātmakaṃ viddhi
tṛṣṇāsaṅgasamudbhavam |
tannibadhnāti kaunteya
karmasaṅgena dehinam ||

(rajaḥ rāgātmakam viddhi
tṛṣṇāsaṅgasamudbhavam |
tat nibadhnāti kaunteya
karmasaṅgena dehinam ||)

Meaning :
Know the rajo-guṇa (passion), that is of the nature of identification, is born of desire and longings for pleasures. And the same (rajo-guṇa) binds the embodied being (soul / jīva) with the action (karma) and the hope of the fruits (karmaphala) of that action (karma)
